Sinead & Daithi, Shearwater Hotel.

Did you ever meet someone who you instantly hit it off with? That is exactly what happened the day I met Sinead and her Mammy Cathy. We met when Sinead was booking me to be her wedding photographer and within minutes of being in their company, I felt like I had always known them. I was instantly comfortable. Both were warm, friendly and funny. I knew we would get on very well when the big day came along.

This blog post is dedicated to the memory of Baby Chloe McGonigle and the late Liam Fox. Rest in peace <3

Baby Chloe

Originally, Sinead and Daithi had booked their wedding date for May 2016 but life with it’s many twists and turns took them in a different direction. With an unexpected pregnancy, Sinead and Daithi pushed their wedding out to 24th September 2016 and luckily I was free too!

Sadly, baby Chloe passed away in February last but she was very much remembered and part of Sinead and Daithi’s wedding day. Their other daughter Eadaoin turned 9 the same morning and was a great little second shooter with her shiny new ipod.

The wedding morning and meeting all the Foxes

When I drove down the road to Broughall in the pouring rain, rush hour had begun and a herd of cattle were stopping traffic! The first person straight out of the Fox household offering to help me carry all of my gear was Sinead’s Dad Liam.  What a lovely man he is and I really enjoyed my chats with him on the day, telling me about when he first arrived from Tipperary to work in Offaly many moons ago. Of course I shouldn’t have been surprised that he was a warm person having already met Sinead and Cathy before. Not only that but all of Sinead’s siblings were the same and could not do enough to help me all day.  The weather was absolutely shocking but a nicer bunch of people you will not meet. Daithi was also a gem and I felt like I was working with friends and not clients.

Thank You’s

Thank you Sinead and Daithi for giving me the absolute privilege of being your wedding photographer. Thank you Liam and Cathy for warmly welcoming me into your lovely home. And last but not least, thanks to the very important, funny and helpful bridal party made up of Aine, Adeline, Jayne, Pat, Dalan & Davey.  Here’s a selection of photo’s from Sinead and Daithi’s big day.
