Lauren & Bryan, Mount Druid, Westmeath. I got a lovely glimpse of old Dublin and the neighbourly spirit there when I captured Lauren and Bryan's wedding on August 26th last. Their family homes are just 10 doors apart which made it very handy for me! I arrived early and quickly got stuck in to documenting this lovely wedding. The venue for the wedding reception was the very funky and cool Mount Druid in Castletown Geoghegan. The sun just kept on shining for the whole day! Annika & Paul, Bridge House Hotel. Annika and Paul were married on Friday 4th August last in their hometown of Ferbane, Co. Offaly. After mass we boldly turned up (by appointment) at Charleville Castle Estate in Tullamore where security was heavy. It was Castle Palooza weekend after all! Bronwyn & Trevor – Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore I have known Trevor since he was a young fella paling around with my little brother Pat. Now that makes me sound absolutely ancient but I'm not really ;-) Anyway, fast forward many years later when I get a message from Trevor to say he is newly engaged and needs a wedding photographer for his and Bronwyn's big day. Marie-Louise & Greg, Dunraven Arms Hotel, Adare. Saturday June 24th dawned and the sun was shining as I drove the 90 minute journey to Adare. Marie-Louise and Brid were busy getting ready at Gate Lodge Cottage while the boys got suited and booted just across the street at the Dunraven Arms Hotel. They had a short trot down to the church and it was lovely to be able to document Greg and his family as well as the Ryan's on their way there. There were so many well wishers from all parts of the globe waiting for them with cameras and smiley faces. Caroline & Seamus – Multyfarnham and The Shearwater Hotel. Big congrats to Caroline Browne and Seamus Carroll who were married at St Nicholas' Church in Multyfarnham on Friday 9th June. After a pit stop at Weirs Pub in Multyfarnham, we headed off to The Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe for the celebrations! The weather was fabulous too despite having rained non stop the day before. Fiona & Dermot, Mullingar Park Hotel wedding Fiona and Dermot were married on June 3rd and I think we experienced every season when it came to the weather! Fiona's late Mum Kay was very much remembered on what would have been her birthday. Before the ceremony, I drove down to the church to whisk the groom away! People heading into the chapel did a second take with puzzled looks as we giggled and drove out of the churchyard. I had just kidnapped the groom! Roberta & Sean, Kinnitty Castle. The stunning Kinnitty Castle at the foothills of Slieve Bloom mountains was the fairy tale venue for my latest wedding. A meeting in Alberta, Canada brought these love birds together some years ago. Friends first, they dated for a short few months before studies called and Cork native Sean had to move back to his Irish homeland. Some time apart made them realise that they couldn't allow distance to get in the way of true love so in 2015, after a visit to Ireland, Roberta traded in Canada for Cork and the rest is history! Jessica & Joshua get married at Charleville Castle I had the pleasure of capturing the marriage of Jessica Jones and Joshua Egan last week. They came all the way from Utah in the U.S.A. to get married in Ireland! Charleville Castle in Tullamore was the venue. It was especially fitting since one of Joshua's ancestors (Howard Egan) emigrated from Tullamore to Canada in 1825. Maura & Podge, Balyna House. Maura & Podge Maura and Podge were married in February last in Maura’s native Clonaslee, Co. Laois. I felt right at home with this gang! It was a fun wedding from start to finish with a gorgeous couple in Maura and Podge. Their two dogs Scruff and MJ even joined us after the ceremony! They […] Cliona & Jason, Celbridge Manor I didn't have very far to go to the bride's house on the morning of Cliona and Jason's big day. A hop, skip and a jump and I was there. Cliona and Jason were married in St. Patrick's Church, Killeigh on 10th March last. It was a funny wedding with Killeigh seeing the flashiest yellow tractor ever and the sun even came out to celebrate! Although everyone was in high spirits for the happy day that it was, there was also time to remember Jason's sister Christina who was a huge part of their lives and who was definitely there in spirit.
