Donna & Paul, No. 1 Pery Square Hotel & Spa, Limerick Friday the 13th April was a lucky one for Ennis native Donna and Galwegian Paul who were married in Limerick. The venue was the magnificent No. 1 Pery Square Hotel & Spa, full of lovely light and fabulous Georgian features. We took a stroll around to the Belltable Arts Centre where Donna performed as a young girl and met some interesting characters along the way! Lena & Paddy, Glasson Country House & Golf Club As Lena and Paddy were busy making their wedding plans, little did they know what would happen just six weeks shy of their big day... The lives of the Bracken family were turned upside down when Lena's Dad was extremely fortunate to survive a serious accident. So it was no surprise when the emotions got the better of everyone (including me!) as Lena and her Dad walked up the aisle in Kilcormac that day. It was a journey of determination and pride, this Dad was not going to let his daughter down. Marianne & Dan, Kilshane House. Marianne and Dan were married in the beautiful Church of The Annunciation in Bansha, Co. Tipperary and had their reception at Kilshane House, which is beautiful in Autumn colours. This blog post is dedicated to Marianne's grandad John O'Grady who passed away just five months after the wedding. Love is all you need Joe and Brendan were married at the Radisson Blu St. Helen's Hotel in Dublin. Just 9 months earlier, on May 22nd 2015, Ireland said yes to same sex marriage and love won through. I have been a wedding photographer for a few years now and I have never felt the immense power of the emotion in that little room at St. Helen's. It was incredible. Eadaoin & Colin, Haddington House, Dun Laoghaire. Eadaoin and Colin's wedding day turned out to be a gorgeous sunny day! I arrived at the bright and airy Haddington House early. With breathtaking views of Dun Laoghaire, it is decorated with a quirkiness that I just love! Eadaoin and the girls were busy getting ready upstairs while Colin and the boys were in McKenna's bar topping up their iron levels! Lauren & Bryan, Mount Druid, Westmeath. I got a lovely glimpse of old Dublin and the neighbourly spirit there when I captured Lauren and Bryan's wedding on August 26th last. Their family homes are just 10 doors apart which made it very handy for me! I arrived early and quickly got stuck in to documenting this lovely wedding. The venue for the wedding reception was the very funky and cool Mount Druid in Castletown Geoghegan. The sun just kept on shining for the whole day! Annika & Paul, Bridge House Hotel. Annika and Paul were married on Friday 4th August last in their hometown of Ferbane, Co. Offaly. After mass we boldly turned up (by appointment) at Charleville Castle Estate in Tullamore where security was heavy. It was Castle Palooza weekend after all! Bronwyn & Trevor – Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore I have known Trevor since he was a young fella paling around with my little brother Pat. Now that makes me sound absolutely ancient but I'm not really ;-) Anyway, fast forward many years later when I get a message from Trevor to say he is newly engaged and needs a wedding photographer for his and Bronwyn's big day. Marie-Louise & Greg, Dunraven Arms Hotel, Adare. Saturday June 24th dawned and the sun was shining as I drove the 90 minute journey to Adare. Marie-Louise and Brid were busy getting ready at Gate Lodge Cottage while the boys got suited and booted just across the street at the Dunraven Arms Hotel. They had a short trot down to the church and it was lovely to be able to document Greg and his family as well as the Ryan's on their way there. There were so many well wishers from all parts of the globe waiting for them with cameras and smiley faces. Caroline & Seamus – Multyfarnham and The Shearwater Hotel. Big congrats to Caroline Browne and Seamus Carroll who were married at St Nicholas' Church in Multyfarnham on Friday 9th June. After a pit stop at Weirs Pub in Multyfarnham, we headed off to The Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe for the celebrations! The weather was fabulous too despite having rained non stop the day before.
